Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say

words have power……And that’s the thing about people who mean everything they say. They think everyone else does too.

Not everyone means everything they say. This is a tough life lesson to learn, especially to those people who grew up instilled with principles of honesty and integrity deeply embedded in their psyche. As we face the real world, we would like to think that everyone is honest, and has the best intentions, but this is simply not true. We have to take the world for what it is.

This doesn’t mean that we should go around being dishonest just because everyone else is but it does mean that we shouldn’t be so naive to believe that what everyone says is true.

An old saying might be a little too harsh but it is something to think about “Believe only half of what you see, and none of what you hear.” Learn to trust those who only deserve your trust and no one who doesn’t.
This is  a tough lesson for me. One that I’m still learning….
Love and Lessons,
Deanna
